Do you ever wonder why criminals make the effort to find someone's cell phone and take the battery out to cut off the gps tracking? I'm surprised they make the effort at all. Most studies show that the less education a person has, the more likely they will be involved in crime and/or poverty. Yet they must be somewhat educated to know to do this. Perhaps it's because they don't want the phone to give away the location of any other evidence, but this person locked Jenn's car when it would have worked in his favor to have other people break in.

In Jennifer's case, she had two phones on her. So after finding the first phone, he kept searching. If the motive wasn't robbery, what was he looking for? Why go through her stuff?

What happens if the phones were sold on the streets? Wouldn't they have to be turned on if someone was going to use them even under a different number, and therefore release a signal that the phones were turned on somewhere?

That is correct; if the phones were indeed sold to another individual, both woould have pinged somewhere to let OPD etc know that they were in use...

However if either of the phones had the capability to be set up in another country (eg: The Nokia I purchased in Mexico can be used in Canada/USA if I purchase the correct pk here) then no, they would not essentially be the same phone.... hope that makes sense.

I think even the OPD is starting to admit that Jennifer was trafficked by a gang with drug and possible Latin/South American connections:
*Her car was returned, staged to  leave a confusing message of caretaking versus flight
*Her car was locked to preserve the message or scenario POI was instructed or inspired to leave.
*POI returned to Mosaic at least once, proving he knew where Jennifer lived, I mean, to the front door.
*Jennifer was quickly moved out of the area, probably the very day she disappeared (no camera, csard or phone ttracings)
     * This was a planned and scripted abduction and, unfortu nately, no mistakes were  made.
*Her place of employment is not above my suspicion, at least, and I hope the FBI will comb over everthing that can be known about who met, dealt and interacted with her during the month before D-Day.
*If POI was j8ust the corrier, I believe Jennifer knew her abductor. In the trafficking world, the momnent of surprise is critical to the success of the abduction.
I am glad to see that Drew's thinking has not ruoled out the trafficking scenario, and I do believe the FBI will make progress if the trail (information/money/movements of former clients) is not too cold.
*She may actually still be in custody/slavery, fully into the Stockholm mode
